Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (Cloudflare Pages). When a page is requested, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data: the IP address of the requesting device, the date and time of the request, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, and the browser and operating system. This processing is required to deliver the site and to fend off attacks.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare. Cloudflare also processes data in the USA; the transfer rests on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses. More at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

If you write me an email, I process what you send solely to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries relating to a contract. I delete the data once the enquiry is settled and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way.

This website links to Google Play, the App Store, LinkedIn and warreport.app. A linked site is only requested when you click the link. Its operator is responsible for the data processing that happens there.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). You can object at any time to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR).

You can also complain to a supervisory authority. The competent one is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Ludwig-Erhard-Straße 22, 20459 Hamburg, Germany.
